Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7 July 2026

LogBoek helps South African taxpayers produce their own vehicle logbooks. This policy explains what we collect, where it lives, and how we handle it. It is aligned with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

The short version: your logbook content stays on your device by default. We never sell your data, and we never send your logbook content to analytics.

Who is responsible for your information

LogBoek is operated from South Africa by its owner, an independent developer. For any question about your personal information, or to reach our Information Officer, email support@logboek.co.za.

What we collect

Where your information lives

What we use it for

Your information is used only to generate your own documents and to provide the app's features. We do not sell it, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Payments

Export unlocks are processed by our payment provider (Netcash) on the web, or by Google Play / the App Store for in-app purchases. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and which logbook it unlocks; we do not receive or store your full card details.

Analytics & crash reporting

We use anonymised analytics and crash reporting to understand which features are used and to fix problems. We track behaviour (for example, "an export was completed"), never the content of your logbook, tax number or registration.

Retention & deletion

Local data is removed when you delete a logbook or uninstall the app. Account and synced data can be deleted at any time — see Delete account & data.

Children

LogBoek is not directed at children under 18.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
