Terms of Service
Last updated: 7 July 2026
These terms govern your use of the LogBoek app and website ("LogBoek"), operated from South Africa by its owner, an independent developer. By using LogBoek you agree to these terms.
Licence to use
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use LogBoek to create your own vehicle logbooks. You may not resell, reverse-engineer, or misuse the service.
Export unlocks & payment
- Capturing and editing a logbook is free. Exporting the final document is a one-time unlock, purchased per logbook.
- An unlock applies to that logbook (per vehicle, per tax year) and allows unlimited re-exports of it.
- Web purchases are processed by Netcash; in-app purchases are processed by Google Play or the App Store, and are subject to those stores' refund policies.
- Because the deliverable is a digital document, unlocks are non-refundable once the logbook has been exported, except where the law or the relevant store's policy requires otherwise.
Tax disclaimer
LogBoek is a record-keeping and document-generation tool. It is not tax, accounting or legal advice. You are responsible for the accuracy and truthfulness of all information you enter, and for how you use the documents you produce. We make no warranty that SARS or any other authority will accept any particular logbook or claim. If in doubt, consult a registered tax practitioner.
Availability
We aim to keep LogBoek available and accurate, but we provide it "as is" without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LogBoek and its provider are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the service, including any assessment, penalty or dispute with a tax authority. Your data is your responsibility — keep your own backups of important records.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
